PRIVACY POLICY

                                                                               Effective date: August 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the online shop at samanthadurocher.ca (the “Shop”), operated by Samantha Durocher Buchsdruecker (“we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit the website, contact us, or place an order. We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian and British Columbia privacy laws.

1.                            INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:

  • Contact information, including your name, email address, telephone number, billing address, and shipping address.

  • Order information, including the products purchased, customization requests, order history, delivery details, and messages about your order.

  • Payment and transaction information.

  • Payments are processed through the payment providers made available through our GoDaddy store. We generally do not receive or store your full payment-card number.

  • Website and device information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring website, and cookie or analytics information collected through the website platform.

  • Information you voluntarily provide when you contact us, request an exchange, join a mailing list, or otherwise communicate with us.

2.                           HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may use personal information to:

  • Process payments, fulfill orders, arrange shipping, and provide order updates.

  • Respond to questions, exchange requests, concerns, or customer-service messages.

  • Create and maintain transaction, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and business records.

  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and Shop.

  • Send marketing emails only when you have consented to receive them.  You may unsubscribe at any time.

  • Meet legal, regulatory, customs, tax, insurance, or dispute-resolution obligations.

3.                          CONSENT AND CHOICES

By providing information needed to place and fulfill an order, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of that information for those purposes. If we want to use your information for a new purpose that is not reasonably connected to your order, we will seek additional consent when required. You may withdraw consent to optional uses, such as marketing, at any time. Withdrawal will not affect information that must be retained or used to complete a transaction or meet legal obligations.

4.                           WHEN INFORMATION IS SHARED

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share only the information reasonably necessary with service providers that help operate the Shop, including:

  • GoDaddy, which hosts and supports the website and online store.

  • Payment processors and fraud-prevention providers used at checkout.

  •  Shipping carriers, postal services, customs authorities, and delivery partners.

  • Professional advisers or government authorities where reasonably necessary for accounting, taxation, legal compliance, safety, fraud prevention, or the protection of legal rights.

These service providers have their own privacy practices and may process information outside British Columbia or Canada, including in the United States. When information is processed in another country, it may be subject to that country’s laws and lawful access by its authorities.

5.                          COOKIES AND WEBSITE TECHNOLOGY

The website and GoDaddy services may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the website working, remember preferences, understand website use, support checkout, prevent fraud, and improve performance. Where available, you may adjust cookie choices through the website banner or your browser settings. Disabling necessary cookies may affect website or checkout functions.

6.                          RETENTION

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy and to meet legal, tax, accounting, warranty, dispute, and record-keeping requirements. Information that is no longer required will be securely deleted, destroyed, or anonymized where reasonably possible.

7.                         SAFEGUARDS

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. Online transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we limit access and use reputable website, payment, and shipping providers. Please do not send full payment-card information by email or social media message.

8.                         ACCESS, CORRECTION, AND PRIVACY QUESTIONS

You may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access to it, request a correction, or raise a concern about our privacy practices. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and legal exceptions may apply.
