 Educational workshops grounded in Indigenous lived experience, healthcare systems navigation, patient partnership, cultural safety, and trauma informed practice.


Designed for healthcare organizations, leadership teams, social workers, physicians, researchers, educators, and frontline staff seeking practical approaches to improving patient experiences, communication, and systems understanding.


Workshops may include storytelling, reflection activities, experiential learning, discussion, and culturally grounded teachings that support meaningful learning and practical application.

From System Survivor to System Navigator

 A lived experience perspective on navigating healthcare systems and understanding the barriers Indigenous patients and families may face when seeking care, support, and resources.


Drawing from personal experience, healthcare systems knowledge, and anonymized community experiences shared through advocacy work with permission, this workshop explores how Indigenous individuals and families experience healthcare systems, communication, referrals, cultural supports, and access to care.


Participants will examine common barriers, identify opportunities for systems improvement, and explore practical approaches that support safer, more responsive care.


Ideal for:   Healthcare providers, patient experience teams, Indigenous health teams, social workers, community organizations, and healthcare leadership.
