Tawâw (Welcome) to Pêyakôskân Beadwork Shop
Our Story
Pêyakôskân means “one family, one bond, one nation” in Cree. I chose this name because it reflects what I wanted this shop to be: something created and carried by our family, not something that belongs to just one person.
Pêyakôskân Beadwork Shop is a family beadwork space rooted in connection, creativity, and the sharing of knowledge across generations. It holds beadwork created by me, my mother, and other family members as our family continues to learn, create, and carry this work together.
For us, beadwork is more than something beautiful to wear or carry. It is time spent together, stories shared, patience practiced, and knowledge passed from one set of hands to another. Each piece reflects the person who made it while still being part of something larger: family, relationship, and continuity.
Pêyakôskân Beadwork Shop is a place for those pieces to live and be shared while honouring the many hands, stories, and relationships behind them.

Exchange & Damaged Order Policy
Because each piece is handmade, I do not accept returns for refunds.
Eligible items may be exchanged if you contact me within 14 days of delivery.
To be eligible for an exchange, the item must be unused, unworn, unaltered, and returned in its original condition and packaging.
Proof of purchase is required.
Customers are responsible for the cost of returning the item and shipping the replacement item.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
I strongly recommend using tracked shipping, as I cannot complete an exchange if the returned package is not received.
The following items are final sale and cannot be exchanged:
- Custom, personalized, commissioned, or made to order pieces
- Earrings, for hygiene reasons
- Sale or clearance items
- Items that have been worn, altered, damaged, or improperly cared for after delivery
All exchanges depend on product availability. If the requested replacement is unavailable, store credit or another available item of equal value may be offered.
Any price difference and additional shipping costs must be paid before the replacement is shipped.
DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ORDERS
Please inspect your order when it arrives. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or is not the item you ordered, email hello@samanthadurocher.ca within 7 days of delivery.
Please include:
- Your order number
- A description of the problem
- Clear photographs of the item
- Photographs of the packaging
If the item arrived damaged or the wrong item was sent, I will cover the reasonable return and replacement shipping costs. Depending on the circumstances and availability, I will arrange a repair, replacement, exchange, or refund.
Please do not mail an item back before contacting me and receiving return instructions.
